Congratulations on your life! You’ve got it all figured out - too bad it’s all a lie. Approaching her late 40’s, Jennifer shrugs off the voice in her head as it taunts her with the cold, hard truth.
Decades earlier, while blossoming into a young woman, Jennifer becomes curious and fascinated with her body and its sensual responses, but her church youth leaders frown on sexual exploration. Wanting to be a worthy daughter of God, Jennifer works hard to squash her desires, but her failure to do so leads to feelings of guilt, shame, and self-loathing.
Convinced that her Mormon Prince will end her cycle of sexual shame, Jennifer sets out on a rule-laden path, focusing more on “the hunt” than on herself, getting stuck in a revolving-door romance novel with a scattershot plot. At age 46, as her world crumbles around her, can Jennifer continue to navigate a life in the throes of a high-demand purity culture, or will she find another way to discover her own happily ever after?
Jennifer Joy Wilson, singer/songwriter author of Good Mormon Girl has been writing poetry, and stories since she was eight-years old. In her active Mormon days, from 1999 to 2010, Jennifer sold thousands of her Sing the Scriptures Seminary Mastery CDs around the globe and won the hearts of countless seminary teachers.
Today, a handful of her inspirational songs have radio and internet airtime in five different western states. As an author, singer/songwriter, and classical pianist, Jennifer uses a variety of mediums to bring joy to the hearts of many.
